Chartered on 21 January 1993, the Rotary Club of Makati Jose P Rizal, an all-woman club had its first Induction on 14 March 1993 at the Illustrado Restaurant, Intramuros Manila. With a Filipiniana theme, all members donned uniform baro’t saya in various colors. This attire became the first of the club’s many uniforms adopted through the years. The motif gave significance to the club’s name which honors our national hero and the club’s seal which featured Dr. Jose P. Rizal and Maria Clara, as symbols of the Filipino and the Filipina as partners in service in the pursuit of the ideals and object of Rotary. The Rotary Club of Makati Jose P Rizal remains small but strong with 30 members as at March 2008.
